Cabinet Installation

Basic cabinetry seems like it should be easy to install, especially if the cabinets will sit on the floor. However, making new cabinets look good takes more than setting them down or nailing them to the wall. This is one of the big reasons that people hire us here at RCI Construction.

Typically, the first step of cabinet installation is getting rid of the old cabinets. If those were installed well, it would take a combination of muscle power and puzzle-solving skills to take them out. The puzzle-solving involves figuring out how they were put in and where all of the attachment points are. Then, muscle power is used to detach them from those attachments and get them outside to the debris truck. Since cabinet boxes are big, they are heavy and awkward. This makes the removal job itself into a project.

Then, new attachments must be set up to accept the replacement cabinets. Our carpentry services are often involved here. The wall or floor may need additional preparation as well, especially if the new ones aren't the same size or larger than the old ones. If there is damage in either area, our carpentry services repair it.

Finally, the new cabinets are carefully brought in. Muscle power is needed once again, especially if the cabinets are to be hung from the wall(s). Dropping a cabinet can instantly destroy its looks. Our professional cabinet installation crews ensure that this does not happen.

During the installation process, we make sure that all of the cabinets are level and that the finish is as expected. When we're sure that everything is as it should be, the job is done and you have new cabinets without the labor or worry that would come with doing it on your own.
